At any one time Arc employs about 50 staff. The work is often challenging and the staff and volunteers work under considerable pressure to ensure that clients have every opportunity to become inclusive members of society.  

With this in mind Arc operates a Staff Council named 'Your Voice' to strengthen the working and infrastructure of our organisation. We're also thrilled to have been awarded a Gold Award in 2021 by Investors In People.

Sarah Davies, Finance Director and Company Secretary

"I have worked in finance and audit for 25 years in varying types of organisations. Working for Arc is the most rewarding one by far, the whole staff team inspire me with their dedication to helping some of the most vulnerable in our society. Whilst overseeing the busy finance team, my biggest challenge is to strategically plan forecast, so whatever is around the corner, I know that we are financially viable to continue our great work."

Martin Ball, Property Services and Development Manager

Martin is responsible for the compliance and upkeep of our properties, organising repairs and refurbishments with his hard working Maintenance Team. He is health and safety lead, looking after the security and wellbeing of clients and the organisation as a whole.

Jo Pearce, Head of Operations

Jo's role is to manage the operational functions of our housing and support services and is responsible for our Service Delivery Managers. Together they ensure the smooth running of our accommodation and ensure procedures in place result in a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for our clients to live within.

Pathway Team, Satellite and Lindley House

The fantastic Pathway Team support our clients on a daily basis, personalising their approach to meet individual needs. There are 2 teams; 1 team support the clients based at Lindley House, our 57 bed hostel, whilst a second team support those clients within our 14 satellite properties. 

Outreach Team, Mandy McCarter

The team conducts early morning Outreach walkabouts, covering the area of Sedgemoor. Locating any new rough sleepers and checking on those that are known to be out and sleeping rough. The team also responds quickly to reports of rough sleepers from the general public or other agencies.

Fundraising and Communications Team, Rosie Hather and Alice Hannon

Rosie Hather (left) is our Fundraising and Communications Manager and Alice Hannon (right) is our Fundraising and Communications Assisitant. Together, their role is to raise funds and awareness for the charity, to ensure we can provide the services we do for the homeless. We couldn’t do it without the kindness of our community!

Volunteer Coordinator, Emma Dunn

Emma looks after all things volunteering, including the recruitment and support of our fantastic team of volunteers. We hope to provide a great experience for all of our volunteers as they're doing such a brilliant thing for us, so Emma is here to do just that!

Finance Team, Marcus, Teresa, Tracey, and Alina

Working alongside our Finance Director, Sarah, the finance team have different roles to ensure the smooth running of our finance department and financial position.
Marcus is our Rent and Arreas Officer and works closely with our Pathway Team and clients to keep on top of rent and service charge payments
Teresa and Alina work as Finance Assistants 
Tracey is our Finance Manager 

Jason Thorne, School Liaison Officer

As our School Liaison Officer, Jason visits Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and Colleges to work with students on the subject of homelessness and ways to prevent becoming homeless.

Katherine Goddard, HR and Administration Assistant

Katherine ensures the wellbeing of our busy staff team, looking after the HR department and providing the organisation with admin support.

Stephen Lee - Painter and decorator, general repairs
Billy Goldsmith - Groundsman and decorator 
Ed Bond - Experienced, multi-skilled operative based at Lindley House
Mike Thomas - Experienced, multi-skilled operative, working in our satellite properties

Catering Team, Lisa Jarvis

Lisa works hard alongside some wonderful volunteers to provide 3 nutritious meals a day, 7 days a week for our 40-bed hostel. 

Jordan Canter, Social Enterprise Manager

Jordan has joined the team to set up our new social enterprise - Crescent Cleaning Services.
