Formerly known as Taunton Association for the Homeless we have been in existence for more than 40 years, now with 16 properties housing 176 people. As well as providing accommodation Arc aims to ensure no-one has to spend more than one night homeless, with our Outreach Team working hard to support rough sleepers, getting them into accommodation as quickly as possible.
Arc understands that it is not just about having a roof over your head so we help our clients on a road to recovery, inspiring and assisting them to move forwards through a positive journey to independence.
This includes the opportunity for clients to join our in-house ‘Arc Academy’, offering free activities and courses, alongside 1 to 1 support from our Pathway Workers. Once a client is ready we help clients move into independant accommodation with schemes such as tenant accreditation and deposit guarantees.

Statement from the Chair of the Health and Wellbeing Committee:
"Arc is a caring organisation and the health and wellbeing of its employees and clients is of great importance. To ensure we are doing what we can to aid and encourage the good health and wellbeing of our employees and clients, Arc has a Health and Wellbeing Committee.
The Health and Wellbeing Committee’s mission is to ensure there is a safe, happy and healthy environment in which Arc employees work and Arc clients live.
The work of the committee is varied but they focus on: promoting healthy choices and self-care, raising awareness of mental and physical health difficulties and how to get help, creating safe places to live and work, signposting to support networks or building our own internal support networks and offering opportunities for socialising."
