We provide a personalised journey for each client
Although Arc’s core service is to accommodate homeless people, we do is so much more than just that. We understand that homelessness is more than being without a home, this can come with many other difficulties that have either led to homelessness or resulted from being homeless.
Our clients come from all different backgrounds with different stories. That’s why offering a personalised approach is so important, to ensure we can help each individual with their specific support needs. We work with clients to take them through a journey that they choose – whether that’s to learn to live independently, to fight an addiction or to secure employment and find a home of their own.
Each client has a designated Housing Support Worker to help them with their journey, assisting with anything from setting up benefits they’re entitled to, referring them to other support services, getting them involved with learning and deveopment, or assisting them to find volunteering or job opportunities.
This transition work helps our clients move through our services smoothly and enables them to become independent and hold down a tenancy.
By concentrating on the client and what they want, as well as looking at the positives with them, rather than focusing on what’s wrong within their life, we hope to provide a journey that will assist our clients with more than just their housing situation.
