Nationwide Grant Transforms Lives with Two New Kitchens

The grant, which had to be applied to a project that is housing related with a lasting impact, has been used to install a brand-new additional kitchenette and dining area at one of our properties that is currently housing 8 people. The second part of the grant is being used to completely replace a kitchen which has not been upgraded for 20 years, in a property housing 15 people.

Providing clients with access to safe, comfortable and welcoming accommodation is the first step to their recovery from homelessness. It enables them to focus on other support needs with their Support Worker, helping them to thrive. Good housing is critical to health and wellbeing and having a functional kitchen and communal space contributes significantly to this.

Here at Arc, we are committed to providing high quality, comfortable accommodation, enabling clients to feel safe, welcome and at home. With 16 properties housing 168 people, the cost of upkeep and refurbishment for a charitable organisation like ours can be significant and this substantial grant has made a meaningful impact. This contribution not only transforms our facilities but also profoundly enhances the lives of those living within our services.
