Happy Pets in our Hostel due to StreetVet and Pets at Home Support!

We are very excited to be working with StreetVet again for the 3^rd year running, under their Hostel Accreditation Scheme.

Our third year, like our second, has very kindly been funded by Pets at Home Foundation, who like us, are keen to ensure that pets can remain with their owners.

We are incredibly proud to be 1 of only 10% of hostels that allow animals in our services. Sadly, many people who become homeless with their pets face the heart-breaking decision to either give up their pets, or remain rough sleeping in order to keep them. That’s because there are limited accommodation options that allow pets.

We understand how important the bond can be between pet and owner, and how integral that pet can be for someone’s support network, especially in difficult times. We therefore ensure that the bond does not have to be broken by having pet friendly accommodation available.

We could not do that without the incredible work of StreetVet, who, through their accreditation scheme, provide us and our clients with pets vital support with pet essentials such as food, veterinary care, behavioural training and more. As well as ensuring pets in our services are happy and healthy, it also means that the clients do not have to spend time worrying about the finances associated with having a pet, whilst going through a financially difficult time themselves.
