Arc says farewell to Justin, Arc's CEO of 8 years
A message from Arc's Chair, Lynn Emslie:
Our Chief Executive Officer, Justin Roxburgh, has made the decision to leave after a dedicated 8 and a half years. We are sorry to see him go, and I thank Justin for the huge achievements and inspirational leadership he brought to Arc.
We are pleased to share with you one final communication from Justin, as he reminisces on his time at Arc, whilst we prepare for the welcoming a new CEO.

“I have worked as the CEO for Arc for over eight years and held CEO appointments in the charitable sector for over 23 years in total. Ever mindful of reaching a certain age and considering the contributions I have made to help and support vulnerable people in our community I made the decision to retire. I am not moving to another job (nothing would compare!). In fact, I believe it is always good to leave on a ‘high’ and with Arc having been awarded Somerset Charity of the Year, and achieving a GOLD standard by Investors in People, it seemed a good time to hand over the reins to someone new to take Arc to even greater heights. So, please join me to celebrate what has been achieved by Arc these last eight years.
During my tenure as CEO, we have saved literally dozens of lives, helped thousands of people find their strengths and break their lives away from being held back from trauma and systemic failures and helped people believe in themselves. I leave with mixed emotions, but in the knowledge that Arc is doing an incredible job housing and supporting some of the most vulnerable in our community.
So much of our work with clients relies on the generosity of our supporters. I cannot thank them enough.. Please carry on supporting and celebrating what we have done together and what we will do in the future.”
