Donations (Gifts in Kind) Coordinator

Arc regularly receives gifts in kind donations of items such as clothing, bedding, kitchen equipment, toiletries and more. We’re looking for someone with the energy and enthusiasm to help us organise the incoming, storage and outgoing of these donations so that Arc can effectively use them to benefit the local homeless community.  

Job description:

Are you: 

• Over 18 

• Organised 

• Able to work on your own initiative 

• Friendly 

• Fit enough to move boxes of donations and cope with stairs 

• Able to drive. 

You would be responsible for: 

• Sorting through all our donated items and taking them to various locations across Taunton for storage or distribution, preferably using your own vehicle 

• Maintaining an inventory of donated stock 

• Keeping all storage areas tidy and well-organised 

• Alerting colleagues when particular items are running low 

• Occasional collection of donated items from members of the public or businesses. 

Could you commit to a weekday morning or afternoon once a fortnight? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
