Volunteering Coordinator
Arc provide supported accommodation and outreach services to those experiencing homelessness in Somerset. We are looking for a Volunteering Coordinator to join our development team, helping us to deliver quality services through the effective recruitment and coordination of volunteers and volunteer activities.
Job description:
This role will predominantly be based at our office in Taunton town centre and will focus on areas such as:
1. Recruiting, inducting and training volunteers in line with the needs of the organisatio
2. Carrying out administrative duties to coordinate Arc activities and services led by Arc’s volunteers
3. Providing support and leadership for Arc’s volunteers, acting as main point of contact and responding to their needs and concerns
4. Promoting volunteering both internally and externally, raising awareness of the roles, value, and the function of volunteers, to include organising and attending events in the community
5. Provide support to other members of the development team, to include assistance with incoming donations, handling phone calls and emails from members of the public.

Hours:
22.5 hours per week, preferably to be worked over 4 or 5 weekdays with some flexibility required. Flexible hours starting no later than 9:30am and finishing no later than 5:30pm. Occasional requirement for early starts, evenings or weekends, for which toil or additional payment will be made. Hours can be discussed prior to application if clarification needed.
We are looking for:
A candidate who has empathy with volunteers with experience of providing supervision and support. The ideal candidate would be able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks, with good organisational, communication and administrative skills. It is essential that candidates have a non-judgmental approach, an understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion and a commitment to Arc’s work and values.

Taunton based office with some travel to Bridgwater required
Salary:
£15,340 per year (FT equivalent £25,567)
